Welcome to the 2022 Southern Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Conference page! We are thrilled to announce our lineup of amazing presenters for our October Hybrid In-Person and Online Safety Conference. Our team has worked hard to find top-notch presenters, some regional rock stars, as well as some nationally and internationally recognized speakers. Even though this conference will be a mix of in-person and online, we're dedicated to making this fun and interactive and we believe this will be one of our best conferences ever!

2022 Speakers
Jeff CrapoColonel (Retired) Jeff Crapo is a native of Medford, OR. He graduated from North Medford High School in 1990 and entered the Army in 1994 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Western Oregon State College. There he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. Jeff has served in multiple leadership roles culminating as an Airborne Brigade Commander. Jeff has led and commanded over 4800 soldiers during his 24 years in the Army and has also served as a Combat Advisor and U.S. Army Ranger Instructor. Jeff holds a Master of Science degree in disaster and emergency management and has been with the ETHOS Academy for the past six years.

Nancy Knechel, PhDNancy is a former Trauma Nurse Practitioner turned Yale-trained sleep scientist. After seeing too many trauma victims at the hospital that were there as the result of sleep deprivation, she became fascinated with the impact sleep has on injuries. Nancy spent years of researching sleep-related errors and injuries, and has moved from treating the injuries to preventing the injuries. She helps businesses keep their workplace safe by preventing sleep and fatigue related injuries.

Linda Tapp, ALCM, CSP, CPTDOver 30 years of experience in occupational safety and health.
Author of several books related to safety training, including the most recent “Make Your Safety Training Stick: Improve Retention and Get Better Results” published by ASSP. Publisher of a monthly safety training newsletter, The Safety Training Net, that goes out to thousands of safety professionals around the world. Recipient of 6 different Safety Professional of the Year awards *including one from ASSP’s Training and Communication Practice Specialty). Additionally, recipient of BCSP’s Lifetime Achievement Award for 2022. |
